Oxford tailors can make your garment to either your body or your favourite garment measurements. For the best fit we recommend that you create your own measurements profile, otherwise you can choose from standard sizes or even adapt a standard size to your needs.

Measurement guide

The shirt length measurement is taken from the top of the shoulder, close to the mid side of your neck, following your body down to the point where you want your shirt to end.

 

Measurement guide

The chest measurement is taken as a circumference measurement around your chest at the widest point. Stand in a relaxed posture and breathe out.

The waist measurement is taken as a circumference measurement around your waist just above your belly button. Stand in a relaxed posture and breathe out.

The hip measurement is taken as a circumference measurement around your hips at the widest part.

 

Measurement guide

The neck measurement is taken around the neck with the tape resting on your shoulders. You should put one finger between the tape and the neck if you want to allow for some extra room.

Think of a line going from your armpit straight upwards to your shoulder. Measure between those two points and hold the tape measure straight.

The biceps measurement is taken as a circumference measurement around your biceps. Relax the muscle and measure at the widest part of your upper arm.

The sleeve length measurement is taken from the point of your shoulder (where you took the shoulder width measurement), following your bent arm down to where you want the sleeve to end. NOTE 1! Bend your arm slightly when taking this measurement. NOTE 2!

The sleeve length measurement should be taken from the shoulder/sleeve seam along the upper edge of the sleeve to the edge of the cuff.

The shirt length measurement is taken from a point straight out from the center of the neck opening down to where your shirt ends.

The chest measurement is taken across the shirt at the bottom of the sleeve seams. Note that this is NOT a circumference measurement.

The waist measurement is taken across the shirt at the narrowest part of the waist. Note that this is NOT a circumference measurement.

The hips measurement should be taken accross the bottom of the shirt at the end of side seams. Do not stretch the shirt apart too much when taking this measurement.

The collar measurement is taken from the outer edge of the button hole to the center of the button.

The shoulder width measurement is taken at the top of the shirt from one sleeve seam to the other.

Measure bicep from shoulder seam to 7inches to the sleeves and measure across shirt bicep.

 

Measurement guide

The forearm measurement is taken across side to side from cuff opening end, from left to right.

 

Measurement guide

The cuff measurement is taken across the open cuff, from the outer edge of the button hole to the center of the button.
