About fabrics

You can learn in our fabrics page. Basically for your suit oxford tailor carry only high quality suiting fabric such as wool, wool blend and cashmere wool blend fabric. Oxford tailor shirting fabric and design are very standard. We carry only high quality fabric for shirt such as Egyptian cotton, 100% twill cotton and superfine 100% cotton.

Garment sizing & measurements

The Oxford tailors can make your garment to either your body or your favourite garment measurements. You can measure your body or best fitted garments according to our measurement guide.

Measurement guide is under the custom made garments detail page, when the time of order you can put it yourself. Our measurement guide will help you to take your body measurements with illustrated instructions.
Please write an email to our customer support directly and let us know which changes you would like to make. As orders can go in production quite quickly, it is important that you do this as soon as possible so we can apply the changes to the order before the fabric for your garments is cut.

Delivery and shipping

Our expected delivery time for custom-made garments is approximately 10-20 workdays.

Production starts when:
  • Order is fully paid.
  • Tailor had accepted all your measurements and requirements.
  • Fabric is available in the factory.
Please keep in touch with us at our catact page to get a status of the delivery of the fabrics. The Oxford Tailor has no control over shipping delays.

For other products such as fabric samples, gift vouchers, ties, cuff links etc. the delivery time is 5-10 workdays. You can always check the status of your order via your customer account. As soon as your order has been dispatched by us, you will receive a confirmation email containing the tracking information (if available).

Small articles as gift certificates, measurement tapes, fabric samples and accessories are always sent by standard mail and are not traceable.

For orders containing garments you can choose from Registerd Mail (shipping price zero) or Express Mail (shipping price up to the garments and quantities).

Payment

If you want to pay by bank transfer, please contact our customer service. Our agents will give you all required information on how to proceed.
The Oxford Tailor website features a SSL-EV (extended validation) secure connection during the transaction, which keeps your information secure and private.

The Oxford Tailor payment gateway is provided by Paypal, the international leading payment platform which offers an outsourced payment solution, which enables online companies to accept payments from anywhere in the world.

Please note that the charge on your statement will appear as "The Oxford Tailor".
The Oxford Tailor offers a wide range of payment methods in order to provide our users a safe and easy payment process.

The Oxford Tailor accepts all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, and JCB using PayPal payment gateway.

Claims and Returns

It can happen that there are remains of tailor’s chalk left on the garment and in some cases patterns from the ironing process. Please wash the garment once according to the washing instructions inside without using any extra treatment or bleach. Should there still be a stain afterwards, please send us a picture of it to our customer service so we can investigate this further.
As for all garments that can be washed according to the care instructions inside the garment, please wash it first. We add a certain amount of fabric during production to adjust for the shrinkage that occurs during the first few washes. If you have ordered for the first time or with new or changed measurements, please send us some pictures of you wearing the garment (rear and front). Stand upright and relaxed with both your arms hanging loosely from the sides.
Accessories like ties and cufflinks should show no sign of use and be returned in their original package. If you should not be satisfied with a made-to-measure garment, please get in touch with us and let us know the reason so we can find the best possible solution in this situation.
